The COVID-19 response to the Delta and Omicron variants provides a snapshot of what was achieved through this period, drawing attention to the collective efforts involving iwi, Māori communities and Māori health networks, and the key innovations and initiatives that were undertaken to support the delivery of positive outcomes for Māori. It is important for those working within Māori-led organisations, policy-makers and commissioners who are looking for new and innovative ways to support Māori communities.
Our collective response helped identify and assist our most isolated and vulnerable – a response that continues to this day.
